Snow Cancellation Policy

The office follows the Franklin Public School cancellation and delay schedule. For Sunday service cancellations please check cancellation listings on WBZ 1030 am, WCBS (channel 4) ,WHDH (channel 7)and WCVB (channel 5,). Also, you can call the church at 508-528-1092 and listen for the cancellation message.

Franklin United Methodist Church Welcomes

Pastor Dianne Carpenter

The Bishop has appointed Pastor Dianne Carpenter to serve at FUMC.

Pastor Dianne comes to us with a richly diverse background spanning over 35 years of ministry and service.

She received a Masters of Sacred Music from Boston University, A Masters of Divinity ‘cum laude’ from Andover Newton Theological School and a PhD in Christian Social Ethics from Boston University Graduate School.

She has served as a Minister in the New England Conference of the United Methodist Church for 18 years, serving in Natick, Spencer, Belmont, Hamilton and Brewster Massachussetts.

Please join us in welcoming her to our congregation and to the community.

May God profoundly bless her ministry here and may her transition be filled with grace and opportunity !

Franklin United Methodist Church Welcomes Priscilla Kjorlaug as pianist/organist

After prayerful review of many wonderful candidates, Priscilla Kjorlaug has been offered and has graciously accepted the position of pianist/organist for Franklin United Methodist Church. She will begin her service in July.

Priscilla, a Franklin resident and active piano teacher comes to us with a Masters of Music from Arkansas State University. She has served as Music Director/Organist/Pianist for Glencliff United Methodist Church in Nashville TN and has most recently been serving as Organist/Pianist in Hingham, MA.

Some of you may recognize her as she has performed solo recitals at both the Joy of Music Program in Worcester and the Franklin School for Performing Arts in the spring of this year.

She is also a National Certified Teacher of Music and has experience working with Choirs, Singers, Wind Ensembles and other musicians.

Please join us as we welcome her to our church ! God has blessed Priscilla with many wonderful talents and we look forward to her contributions!
